Well, our book is finally in print and available at Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and your favorite local bookstore. It's called "Beautiful Button Jewelry," authored by my friend Susan Davis of Grandmother's Buttons. This hardbound book has many gorgeous full-page photographs of different styles of jewelry made with antique and collectible buttons. Several of my own original designs can be found throughout, along with my detailed instructions for creating each piece. We shot the jewelry on location at Catalpa Plantation in St. Francisville, and the setting was a perfect one. I brought my own props to the photo sessions, so you'll see vintage textiles, Dutch figurines, cigar boxes, and paper ephemera from my crazy collection of collage materials. If you'd like to preview a few of the pieces appearing in the book, visit my website at http://www.annamacedo.com. Working on this book was great fun, and I can't wait to begin the next one!

Wishing You 365 Good Hair Days
Much appreciation to KJ for inviting the members of the Mississippi Art Colony to create their own blogs here. I'm one of the Louisiana faction, currently living in Baton Rouge.
This image is one of my small collages (11x14), titled "Our Lady of the Good Hair Day." I work primarily in acrylic and mixed media with collage. In my pieces it's sometimes difficult for the viewer to sort out which is paint and which is found image, and for me that's the fun of it.
